Medicinal Use: Angelica Root has been praised for its virtues since antiquity. Angelica Root oil assists in strengthening the heart, stimulates circulation and the immune system. Angelica root has been used for centuries in Europe for bronchial ailments, a general lung tonic, a stimulant for the lymphatic system (especially to detoxify after an illness), indigestion, gas, stops spasms of the stomach and bowels, and stimulates the appetite. As a urinary antiseptic it may assist cystitis. Angelica root oil improves dull and congested skin, psoriasis, and anemia. Angelica root oil is a tonic to the liver and spleen, controls uric acid, favors pepsin and hydrochloric acid production, restores sense of smell, fatigue, migraine, nervous tension and stress-related disorders. Angelica root oil may be antispasmodic, diuretic, expectorant, and may have bactericidal and fungicidal properties. Angelica root oil is beneficial for contagious diseases such as typhus, malaria, diphtheria, cholera, and yellow fever.
Emotional Use: Angelica root oil has been used to bring the memory back to the point of origin before trauma or anger was experienced. Angelica root oil assists in releasing or let go of negative feelings. Safety Information: Phototoxic. Avoid during pregnancy ( induces menstruation) and diabetes. Do not use if the area of application will be exposed to sunlight for 24 hours due to its phototoxicity.
