Interesting Facts: The word Helichrysum is derived from the Greek word 'helios' which means sun and 'chrysos' meaning gold. The strawflower is a flowering plant of the genus Helichrysum in the sunflower family. There are an estimated 600 species.

Use: Helichrysum Gymnocephalum essential oil is anti-inflammatory, analgesic, antiseptic used for cuts, wounds, bruises, ulcers, herpes, rheumatism, gingivitis, pyorrhea, gastritis, sore throat, reverses hearing loss, and typhoid fever. Helichrysum Gymnocephalum essential oil induces menstruation, aids painful menstruation and headaches, and induces milk formation.

Constituents: Nerol, neryl acetate, geraniol, pinene, linalool, isovaleric aldehyde, sesquiterpenes, furfurol, eugenol.
