If you have sensitive skin then you know that you have to be very careful of the chemicals and products that you use on your skin.  Harsh chemicals can be harmful to your skin and do more damage than good.  There are products out there that you can buy just for sensitive skin; however, they can be expensive and sometimes hard to find.  Vinegar can take the place of many of those harsh products and save you money at the same time.  For most people, vinegar is harmless and safe for most skin types, especially sensitive skin.

Bath
If you have sensitive skin, you can use vinegar in your bath water to keep away bacteria that can cause infections or rashes.  This is especially a good idea in the summer months, when we want to wash away the perspiration and bacteria that we have on our bodies from the heat. If you have trouble controlling dry and chapped skin in the dry winter months, use half water and half vinegar solution soaked on a cloth and apply to the affected areas.  You can also use this in your bath to prevent your skin from chapping and cracking.  If you get rashes or pimples after shaving, use some apple cider vinegar as aftershave.  There are no harmful ingredients in the vinegar and it will not burn or irritate the area any more.

Healing
If you or someone you know uses plaster or clay on a daily basis, then you know that it is important to find relief from a ph imbalance because of the alkali in the material that is used.  Use a half and half water and vinegar mixture to soak your hands in for five minutes a day to minimize the affects of the plaster or clay on your hands.  If you have trouble with swollen skin, run vinegar on the area; it is just as effective as ice.  If you suffer from bruises, then you know how long, they can take to heal.  Soak a cotton ball in vinegar and apply it to the bruise for one hour.

The vinegar reduces the blueness and speeds up the healing process.  If you are someone that gets cold sores and hate using the awful medicine it takes to heal them, then try this.  As soon as you feel the first tingling signs of a cold sore, apply vinegar to the area and keep reapplying three or four times.  This may sting a little at first, but this means that it is working.  After that, use Vaseline to soothe the area.  If you apply this at the first signs of a cold sore, this will prevent the cold sore completely.

Remedies
If you have itchy burning skin because you suffer from hemorrhoids, try some vinegar for fast relief.  Use a cotton ball or cloth soaked in vinegar and dab on the affected area.  If you find that using full strength vinegar does not agree with you, then mix it with some water.  If you have a wart on your hand or foot, then try soaking the area in warm apple cider vinegar for fifteen minutes a day for two weeks.  This may take a little longer than other methods, but it does work.  You can also get rid of warts by applying a lotion of half cider vinegar and half glycerin.  Apply this daily to the warts until they dissolve.  If you want faster results, then try this suggestion.  If you soak pennies in vinegar until the vinegar turns green, and you give your wart a bath in the green vinegar every night, your wart will be gone within a week.
