Minerals have two main functions:
We should understand the importance of minerals. Every living cell on the planet, plant or animal, depend on minerals for their proper structure and function. Vitamins often outshine minerals, but minerals are life sustaining elements. We could not live without minerals and trace minerals. Some Important Roles of Minerals in the Body:
Dr. Linus Pauling said, “You can trace every sickness, every disease and every ailment ultimately to a mineral deficiency”. It is believed that most people are mineral deficient because of their diets and many researchers believe it is important to supplement daily. When using minerals as a supplement always look for plant based minerals. Plants contain ionic minerals that our bodies can absorb and use. Most of the supplements and food on the market today have been fortified with minerals in the improper form and size for our cells to be able to absorb and use. These supplements and foods are actually harmful for our bodies. When larger mineral particles are taken the blood can eventually absorb them, but because they are too large to be absorbed by the individual cells, they stay in the bloodstream and are eventually deposited in various locations resulting in “heavy metal” build-up. By eating or supplementing with plenty of vegetables, fruits, nuts, seeds, sprouts, berries, and herbs, we are actually assisting our bodies to get the proper ionic size minerals as well as eliminating the build-up of heavy metals. The author of Alkalize or Die, Dr. Theodore Baroody, speaking about acid pH says “The countless names of illnesses do not really matter. What does matter is that they all come from the same root cause . . . too much tissue acid waste in the body!” By supplementing with Bella Mira pH Rescue, you will assist your body by giving it the building blocks of good health. Our Bella Mira pH Rescue contains many alkalizing properties as well as the full spectrum of ionic minerals needed by our bodies. The ingredients are as follows: Proprietary Organic Greens Blend: This organic blend contains Wheat Grass Juice Powder, Barley Grass Juice Powder, Alfalfa Juice Powder, Broccoli Powder, Blueberry Puree Powder, Beet Juice Powder, Spearmint Powder, Kelp Powder, Carrot Juice Powder, Whole Apple Powder, and Cherry Puree Powder. Magnesium citrate: About 95% of magnesium supplements contain poorly absorbable magnesium oxide or carbonate. Our far superior bioavailability magnesium citrate is important for every function that requires magnesium. Coral Calcium Concentrate: It takes thirteen pounds of regular Ionized Sango coral calcium to make one pound of our organic concentrate. This 13:1 extract is a very fine powder, only 3.3 microns in particle size. Due to low temperature processing, our ionized elemental calcium also maintains the aragonite crystalline structure. The size, structure and ionization of the calcium concentrate enables better absorption and effective calcium assimilation. According to the director of Aragonite Institute in Japan, Professor Yoshino Yamauchi, our calcium concentrate is at least six times more soluble in water than that of calcium carbonate CaCO3. ChaparralAlso known as- Larrea tridentata, Creosote Bush, Gobernadora, and Hediondilla. Introduction
Chaparral, also referred to as Greasewood, Creosote Bush,
Chaparro, Little Stinker, and Goberrnadora, is an herb derived from the common
desert shrubs Larrea tridentata and Larrea divaricata.
Native to the Southwestern United States, the leaves and stem of these desert
plants have been used for centuries by Native American healers. Twentieth
century herbalists had come to view Chaparral as an effective herbal
antibiotic and as a possible treatment for intestinal parasites. Chaparral has
also been historically employed as a support remedy for the treatment of
colds, flu, and diarrhea.
Chaparral's extremely bitter taste prevents animals from grazing upon it and it does not burn easily. It is regarded as one of the most adaptable of all the United States desert plants as it grows in depleted soil and can survive for long periods of time without rainfall. It was one of the first plants to grow back after the 1962 nuclear bomb test at Yucca Flats. The primary properties of Chaparral are considered to be alterative, antibacterial, antifungal, antioxidant, antiseptic, antiparasitic, bitter tonic, diuretic, expectorant, immune stimulant, and laxative. The primary known constituents of Chaparral include nordihydroguaiaretic acid, resins, flavonoids, essential oils, and saponins. Chaparral does not contain creosote. The primary constituent in Chaparral is considered to be the compound called nordihydroguaiaretic acid, or NDGA, for short. NDGA is a powerful antioxidant, that is widely used in the food industry as a preservative for lard and animal shortenings. Early studies had raised hopes that NDGA might prove to be an effective treatment for some forms of cancer when it was revealed that NDGA was able to inhibit the growth of some cancer cells in animals. Chaparral has been used in the past for a variety of topical applications. Branches have been cooked in oil and strained so that the oil can be massaged into rheumatic limbs. Steam from burning branches has been inhaled in sweat lodges. As a mouthwash, Chaparral has been used to fight cavities. Chaparral is also made into liniments, salves and compresses. Chaparral has also been used as a bath herb, and as a hair rinse for dandruff. ConstituentsAlpha-pinene, amino acids, beta-pinene, cobalt, gossypetin, limonene, nordihydroguaiaretic acid or NDGA, zinc. Parts UsedAbove-ground parts of the plant. Typical PreparationsTinctures used to make creams and lotions for external use. Sometimes used internally as a tea in alternative cancer treatments. Seldom found encapsulated or as an extract. SummaryChaparral contains lignans that are very similar to estrogen, giving it an effect on the skin similar to that of soy taken internally. Applied to the skin, chaparral can have a remarkable healing effect on eczema, herpes, cold sores, psoriasis, and contact dermatitis. 90 Veggie Caps $29.95
