Interesting Facts: Wintergreen Essential Oil does not occur crudely in the plant, but as a nonodorous glucoside, and before distillation, the leaves have to be steeped for twelve to twenty-four hours for the oil to develop by fermentation - a reaction between water and a neutral principle: Gaultherin.

Use: Wintergreen Essential Oil contains an active principle like cortisone. Wintergreen Essential Oil is beneficial for muscle and joint discomfort, arthritis, cellulite, obesity, edema, poor circulation, headaches (from liver congestion), stimulates liver, heart disease, coronary artery crisis and preventative, hypertension, rheumatism, tendentious, cramps, anti-inflammatory, high in cortisone-like functions, eczema, hair care, psoriasis, gout, ulcers, broken or bruised bones.

Constituents: Methyl Salicylate, Gaultherilene

Safety Precautions: Avoid prolong exposure to this oil due to toxic build up in the liver. Inflammation of the stomach having been known to result from frequent and large doses of it.
